forgot to lower the cooler fan, but otherwise everything seems to be working. Just waiting on my hard drives to figure shit out and load the OS.
But this all was quicker and less painful than I thought it would be.

Well fuck. I left the thermal cover on the bottom of the heat sink

Fuckity fuck. Didn't find the thermal pad. But I did have a heartattack when the fucking cpu popped out with the cooler.

I think I mistook pre applied thermal paste for that cap. Which means I likely put too much on the first time.
Got everything back into place now. Cpu seems to be working fine. Not noticing any major instability.
