This could count as a journey if you want to be liberal about it. Here are some of my most memorable flips. In terms of raw percentage returns they seem great. If only I could achieve these margins trading crypto or drugs.

  1. $1.50 Windows XP Computer

I scored this bastard a while back now. I won it for literally $1.50. Even better was that the guy selling it was only 2 blocks down. I posted this computer on Phuks when I got it. https://phuks.co/s/Whatever/56752

I ended up selling just the box for $50. I kept the screen for my parents and it is still holding up. This counts as a 33x return technically.

  1. MacBook Pro

I bought this faggot for $60. The battery was swollen and it had caused the trackpad to protrude. I ended up having to get a replacement battery for $50. I fixed the trackpad for free just by pushing it back into place after the shitty battery was removed.

I ended up selling this bugger for $330. To think that $60 can be turned into $300+ is amazing. Again, that's a fairly good return but a 33x return again would be nice.

  1. $1 PS3 Controller

This is very recent (within a fortnight). I decided to pop into an opshop where I found x2 PS3 controllers for $1/each. This is an absolute steal for them even if the PS3 is a bit dated. I sold one again for $30 net. A literal 30x return. I have the other one to sell which is garnering some interest. I know for certain it'll sell. That will be $2 turned into $60 which is fucking amazing.

  1. (Future) 15" Late-2008 MacBook Pro

I literally scored this bugger for $20 off the interwebs. It is missing ram, HDD & battery. I have ordered a new battery for $50. But I know that this will just make a great marketing addition for when I sell it.

I will probably try to get $280 NZD keeping in mind that it's 11 years old. The screen looks like a good size. Apart from it being smashed in stickers which I'm slowly removing the condition of it looks generally good. Once I have the battery I'll be able to sell.

I have a lot of fun doing these small little dollar deals and watching them turn into $20, $30, 40 is amazing. It seems to be better than trying Bustabit. I'm always keeping my eye out for a good little deal like this. Extra cash is always great.

It's kind of fun to think that if you isolate the examples above, I turned $1.50 into a few hundred now. Keep in mind this is over the period of a yearm the hardest part is always getting started.

I hope I'm not giving away my trade secrets posting this on Phuks. If you are a Kiwi, phuk off, otherwise you pose no economic threat to me: go copy it.
