I find Reddit to be more casually toxic as ot contains a lot more bro type and individuals set in their ways.
Meanwhile voat is more explicitly toxic as they love to wallow in their own filth.
Here on Phuks, we leave the wallowing the SDBH.

I'm a Voat and Phuks kinda guy myself. It only took me a short flyby to see that Reddit wasn't for me - LOL. Hope you enjoy it here, too!

For me, reddit can be awful or awesome, depending what sub I'm in. My dissatisfaction with the place has everything to do with the admins, not the users. The front page is fake, censorship is everywhere, and they are diligently turning the site into a bastardized mix of Facebook and Yahoo Groups. Maybe this makes more money for them, and if it does, well, good for them; it is their sandbox, after all. But they won't need me there much longer.
Voat is all right, it's funny in the way that reddit could be years ago, lots of I'm-going-to-hell-for-this type humor. It became easier to enjoy once I learned to regard the jew haters and the shills as sad, harmless guard dogs that keep the weak and the censorious away. Just ignore the barking and enjoy what remains. I did have to block a lot of subverses though...
Gab? Good lord. No. Well, maybe. There is the occasional gem there, too, but you'll have to sift through a lot of garbage to find it.
Personally I found Voat to be more toxic than Reddit. Granted, I explicitly avoid politics on Reddit these days outside of /r/TumblrInAction and some other pseudo-political-but-not-really subs, and I never used /r/all
