Lots of people at the US Open this past weekend were wearing pink; I'm not sure why. It should have been blue, like baseball had teams wear, for Prostate Cancer Awareness Weekend, as it coincides with Father's Day here in the US.
Golfers do just wear lots of colors in general, so it might just be random.
