every year or so i have to go back and play some baldurs gate. i only actually beat it a couple years ago finally. its incredible how well it still holds up though the additions by that company that rereleased it are super clunky and meh.

Did you try Pillars of Eternity? In my opinion, that game even surpasses Baldur's Gate in the genre.
