[–] TheRedArmy [OP] 1 points (+1|-0)

Android: Netrunner is a card game developed by Fantasy Flight Games, based on the original Netrunner card game developed in the 90's.

In the game, one players plays as a cyberpunk hacker, trying to steal particular cards, called "agendas" from the corporation and get 7 points worth. The corporation player (me in this game), has to protect his agendas and spend time and money to "advance" them enough times to score them for point. If the corporation can accumulate 7 points, they win.

In this game, I play as Haarpischord Studios against Kate. I mulligan my starting hand into a new one, and literally draw 5 agendas from my deck. This means I could not install ICE to defend my servers, had no money cards in my hand, and so on. If Kate had been more aggressive at running my HQ early in the game, I might have been in real trouble; but he focused more on setting up and accessing my R&D (deck), so I was able to get away. Furthermore, 3 of the agendas in my deck were Explode-a-Palooza, which are never intended to actually be scored by me - this deck does not have the defensive ICE to actually protect them long enough to score. They're in there because you are required to have a minimum number of agenda points in the deck.

I finish the game by using 24/7 News Cycle, a card that lets you forfeit an agenda you've already scored to trigger an ability on another agenda you have scored. I use this to trigger the effect of Breaking News that I scored on turn 1, to give him tags (lore-wise, so the corp knows their location, name, other important information, etc). I then play Traffic Accident and Scorched Earth to deal enough damage to them to kill them and end the game with a dead runner.
