Who uses their teeth to open hard plastic? I've done some stupid stuff in my life, but I never risked a tooth to open a package. That's why scissors exist.

I would totally risk losing a tooth opening that package if it meant I never had to risk losing a tooth while opening a package again.

The easiest way to do plastic packaging like that is to crease it then continue to go stretch it to both extremes until the crease weakens. Once that happens it will start to tear, then you can spread that tear down the package. Bob's your uncle.

Can often use a can opener with minimal effort.

Sorry, I meant to imply that it was a way to do it in a pinch, without tools.
