I found the way to do this is a month at a time per service.
When Game of Thrones season is over, I'll pay for a month of HBO and watch it all, same with West World. When the next season of Handmaiden and Man in the High Castle drop, I can do hulu for a month.
If you budget it like that, it isn't bad. No way it makes sense to keep a monthly subscription to each service. It makes more sense to hit up a Red Box for a movie when you want it.
