Yeah, if I had the money to rebuild my engine every 500 miles like a race team, running almost pure ethanol would be fine.

My car gets shit gas mileage on it, so I go well out of my way to avoid it.

Ive seen what it does to plastic and rubber too. Never run a small engine on it without cleaning every drop out of the entire system after using it. It will rot everything.

My car is able to run on E85. I wouldn't use it and none of the service stations near me offer it anyways.

I thought the whole ethanol fuel thing was a farce. Sure it may burn cleaner, but if you factor in the corn harvest and refinery process isn't it a wash? Plus isn't its production heavily subsidized by the government?
