The series after Ned's death has deviated too much. You won't read a lot of the scenes, ever, because they don't exist in the books. And vice-versa.

I heard that, and honestly I find it extremely disappointing that a show has trumped the series in importance. But, money is the most powerful force on this earth so I suppose I shouldn't be that surprised.

I'm only on book 3 right now, but it's really good, do think the HBO adaptation is better though.

I disagree. I believe George's version is better. It's just so much bigger. That's the advantage of writing. You can ad 100k people with a sentence. TV version would just be like "nope, too expensive".

It's game of thrones, nothing is really too expensive for them. Huge expenses they pay for it. I think it's a good expansion on the series.
