Why a new domain for thumbnails? Where are they hosted?

We're switching from using cdnX.polsaker.com to t.phoxy.win for thumbnails. We'll use the phoxy.win domain for an image host in the future.

they're hosted in the same place, but we got a good deal on a domain so we're switching over to it. We we're using one of polsaker's until now.
