Those damn Amish!

;-)

Yeah, buddy of mine showed this to me. They need to have lights and there's sections on battery power and the illustrations show a drawing of an Amish guy.

If you've ever driven through Amish country in NJ, PA, and OH you'd know - they are TERRIBLE 'drivers,' almost without exception. You have to be very careful around them, especially passing them on a two-lane road.

This is a very real thing.

I used to work in a computer shop, past which Amish buggies would pass every day. I once had an amish boy, couldn't have been older than about 12, bring in a laptop. It was dead dead, opened it up to see why and it was all corroded like it was kept in a barn--it probably was. Nice people, though.

Lapt... barn... wha? Everything about that makes me ask questions.

Trust me, we were thinking the same thing.

I don't get some people. It's like any time a computer is mentioned, their brain just shuts down and the idea of logic or common sense just completely disappears.

Oh shit yeah, my old boss' wife was not Amish but her family is from out that way. Every holiday he has to go out that way he has stories about either having to drive 15 mph for 30 miles or almost blowing up 20 miles of woods due to drunken shenanigans.
