One of the first things I hear as I walk in the door was "why are you wearing a tie?"

Because its motherfucking Thanksgiving, Thats why!

Even the baby has on a nice shirt with buttons. Everyone else has fucking sweatpants and tshirts. What the hell guys.

Do you bother with looking nice for Thanksgiving?

All the cool people are wearing sweatpants and a tie

I save my Mickey mouse sweatpants for special occasions like my daily trips to Walmart.

I had on a long sleeve polo and khaki pants and I was underdressed for my family's Thanksgiving. The other men had on button down shirts

While I wasn't wearing a tie, I was dressed nicely. Khaki pants, shoes, a button shirt with a sweater over it. Clean shaven face, too. (And that's a rarity for me.) It's the polite thing to do when you're at someone else's house for a holiday.

No thanksgiving here, but I do dress up a bit for Christmas Day.

i totally support everyone else. you need that extra room and comfort for more food. that being said, i will be looking plenty prim and proper. no tie, though. that sounds a bit much.
