Clicking around the internet aimlessly wastes time. Instead have content delivered for convenient perusal. Time I spend on sites like phuks is generally about finding new and interesting sites to follow. Should I waste my time clicking around 30 news sites or simply have their content delivered to me? It helps w/ seeing both sides of the media and even allows for filtering results (-kardashian). Right leaning news sites I keep in one category while left leaning ones are in another. Feedly might get shit ratings but has decent in browser support.

Going more old school you can use locally installed feed readers to automatically download content whether it's linux releases or perhaps exploits for example if you work in penetration testing. You don't have to set it all up in a day and your tastes and needs will change. The amount of time it saves is worth it. There's only so many days under the sun. I'd rather spend that doing productive shit as much as possible despite my media addiction.

See what I'm saying?
