I heard Gosling's performance was underwhelming.

I'd like to see it for myself, but I'll wait for the DVD.

It's really a poor choice to omit the American flag from what should be a feel good patriotic film.

It turns out that people don't like political lies in their video entertainment. Who knew? It's not like the whole NFL thing was a big clue or anything.

It makes you question the free market. Clearly consumers don't want this, yet it keeps being pushed down on throats. Who has money to burn for stupid political gestures?

Yes it's definitely because they omitted the American flag.

It absolutely boggles my mind that someone made this decision and no one said "are you retarded". I really would like to know who was specifically responsible so I could point and laugh.

I don't think it had any meaningful effect on the ratings. I think this article is writen after the fact to say it did.
