This is half satire, half serious.
This isn't going to be very popular among environmentalists. I'm no fan of litter on the streets myself for visual reasons. For God's sake, it's bloody convenient though.
Littering is bad, no doubt about it. But there's a hierarchy of damage inflicted by a piece of litter. Cigarettes are the worst. What's a bit of straw paper going to do?
If I go to KFC, grab a straw, but have to unwrap it, why should I be inconvenienced by having to hold a bit of paper until I find a bin?
This becomes a problem, especially if you're in a car. There's an open road surrounded by grass, a bit of paper in long grass won't kill off an entire subspecies of fish.
Suppose if I were to take the option of holding my bit of straw paper, and I found a bin, they're usually chock-a-block anyway that throwing it into the bin won't make a difference. It'll be overflowing with rubbish anyway. The paper will simply blow away. What a waste of energy having to hold paper and having to walk.
Another issue with bins is that even if I were to keep a bag in the car, you're not allowed to legally put it all into a bin. No, you have to undo the great progress of accumulating your rubbish in your bag when you're at a bin. You must take everything out and insert the pieces of trash individually. Another waste of time and energy.
With plastic bags being banned everywhere, you don't even get a chance to accumulate rubbish in an orderly manner, if you want to do that. Are we supposed to just throw trash wherever we want in our own cars until we find a rubbish bin?
I find that to be of additional inconvenience, particularly if you have your window down if you drive. You already have to worry about the people in the backseat whinging about the wind being in their face. On top of that, you will have an internal environmental ecosystem with tornadoes being simulated in your vehicle, the consequence of that being rubbish flying around and normally out your window at no personal intention of that happening.
You can never satisfy the demands of environmentalists. You have no chance of fulfilling their totalitarian ideal of no litter in the environment. They will always be a cranky bunch. It's not worth trying to make them happy.
Have you considered just going to bed rather than writing these shitposts?
