Science isn't throwing 2 chemicals together (that we already know the result of) in front of a camera to see what happens to post on YouTube. Science isn't a t-shirt or a political talking point. Science isn't a product to be bought or sold.

Science is knowledge gained by observation. It's time consuming, its repetitive--science is slow and boring by definition.

That's the second time in a month that comic has been relevant on here.

With stuff like IFLS, youtubers who are entertainers and even bill nye and scishow, so prevalent. People have a fundamental misunderstanding of science. I dont think there's a better representation than the misconception of "thoery" and scientific theory. I've participated in and witnessed far too many heated debates on the differences there.

I feel like I might have done this post before. And perhaps it was also you who showed me this comic before. My memory is pretty poor.

But yeah, agreed.

I just started a really cool book, relevant to this called "A short history of nearly everything", by Bill Bryson.
