I bet they love Lenny Bruce, who by today's standards (and what little I've heard of him) comes off pretty conservative. They make their living by insulting people and pushing the envelope, but don't want to be challenged in their thinking.

I can't help but lose respect for these people.
I understand possibly not wanting to appear as a career move but the public display of cowardice calling for restriction of civil ideological exchange in a protected forum is inexcusable.
Some of these people speak/generate ideas for a living they should be able to elucidate their points of view.
