One thing I have noticed is that my brain does even MORE crazy stuff than most people, because it doesn't have that second eye to do things - you know, like triangulate for depth perception, fill in those gaps, etc. to the point that there is so much compensation that almost all of the "close one eye" visual tricks simply don't work - since I only ever have one eye, it is constantly making these assumptions and doesn't "forget" to see the other stuff that the "close one eye" tricks for you bi-ocular people do.

if you've got a clock where the second hand doesn't "tick" but instead smoothly rotates, you won't see this.
