During the 2016 election, Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party) said "The only wasted vote is a vote you don't believe in."
Maybe that's a little trite and simplistic, but I think the sentiment is valid. And after all, if enough people vote third-party, and commit to it, then sudden it becomes a serious voter bloc that has to be taken seriously by both Democrats and Republicans.
