If people eat meat in the Pokémon universe, and there are no other animals that players see or interact with but Pokémon, what are they eating?

They're eating the losing Pokemon. that's my theory.

I legit thought about this when I saw people eating meat on the show. Its a scary thought if you love pokemon.

I'm pretty sure there were non-Pokemon fish in several episodes. And non-Pokemon birds. I have a feeling there were cows too, but I'm not sure. They definitely drank Miltank milk, though.
