Children looking for attention. They never learned the difference between good attention and bad attention.
And while it sucks that they died, I have a hard time finding sympathy for people who protest against democracy.
If they want dictatorial socialism, they are free to move to North Korea.
I'm a lefty, and not a Trump fan. But it's time to be mature. They didn't get their way so now they want to bring the whole system down? That's shameful. They need to accept it and move forward. All this anti-trump bullshit is only making things worse. We need to bridge the divide, not burn the place to the ground.
We need to bridge the divide, not burn the place to the ground.
Beautifully put.
Social tension is ridiculously high across the country right now. I have had co-workers (at a Fortune 100 company) shout at me multiple times during work hours and in front of other co-workers in the past few months because I expressed even some support for Trump and some of his campaign points. I have my views, you have your views, the candidates say their views, and we should talk about them. I've worked with some of these people for 7+ years, some I consider friends, and all of the sudden political debates that used to be normal, amusing and educational during lunch became hostile topics that we can't discuss anymore.
I was always very socially left, voted Libertarian, Green or Dem, but these last two years I just couldn't take them anymore and the center-right appealed to me far more. Fucking California can't handle that apparently, except for the ~10 people I know that I can actually discuss shit with out here.
And why risk your lives protesting Trump in one of the most blue cities/counties in the country? 72% of King County voted Hillary.
