According to 80-20 rule the minority of people will do most of uploading. When I was on Voat, I sometimes found a lot of interesting content fit for one subverse, and could not upload it. As I did not want to wait for an hour I either posted it on sub that did not quite fit, or gave up.

These rules have a side effect of lot of good content not being posted. And we need good content to get a good userbase!

Good thought. I don't recall running into that myself, but I made my "living" on commenting. A light touch is needed there, for sure.

I fully agree with this. At the moment we barely have any restrictions in place.. the cost of this is the need for more moderation/administration activity to manually combat spam (which is also good to prevent all the admins goin MIA like in voat).

Maybe we can make tiered user types, like "normal" user with normal restrictions and "poweruser" with way less. Maybe even "VIP" level with almost none, plus can mod extra subs or even see votes in their own subs.
