I needed a new car but I didn't have any money so off to some ghetto used car dealership I went. I just wanted something reliable to get from point a to point b and I wasn't going to get upsold on anything. I knew the guy I was talking to when I got there was shiesty but I was completely unprepared for the ensuing onslaught.

No money down and a low, low payment of under $100/month and I could have this beautiful 80's Ferrari, low miles, no damage, how could I possibly pass up this opportunity. There was the problem that for some reason this dream version of me needed something with a good amount of space to hold some unspecified tools or something for an unspecified job but that was no issue at all! For the same low, low payment of under $100/month and no down payment, I could get an old F150, too! What's more, I could get them both insured for just another $50/month and they would even help me out and drive one home for me for no charge.

Giddy at the deal I was getting I agreed and signed the piles of paperwork without a glance and off we were back home with my new cars. I decided to drive the truck home and let the dealer drive the Ferrari because my dream logic was flawless up to this point anyways and I'd always have later to drive around in the Ferrari.

Immediately I noticed that the truck was a little tough to turn and bumpy but not quite bad enough to make me think twice, it was an old F150, after all. A ways down the road, though, the going started getting really rough and suddenly there's a loud noise and it became very hard to turn. This might have been a good time to pull over and think better but I only had a little further to go before I was home so I might as well just go the rest of the way. Fortunately I wouldn't have to turn again before I got there.

I expected to see my Ferrari waiting for me when I got home and I'd ask the guy working for the dealership what he was trying to pull with this truck. Unfortunately this was not the case. I figured I must have somehow beat them home since, after all, it is my home and I know the backstreets to avoid the lights. While getting out to take a look at what had happened to my truck, I called the dealership to ask if I could give the guy driving my Ferrari directions.

When I asked if my Ferrari would be showing up soon, I was scoffed at and told they offer no delivery services. Saying the salesman said it was fine, I was told nobody works there by the description I gave. It was about this time that I had rounded my truck to discover that the loud noise I had heard must have been the passenger-side rear wheel falling off. While I was stunned by my misfortune, the guy on the phone explained that they had had issues lately with stolen cars and perhaps I had given the keys to someone without being sure they actually worked there. When I asked about the possibility of returning the truck while artfully leaving out the detail about the missing wheel, I was scoffed at again and told that there are no returns and that the payments aren't handled by the dealership and will still be due despite any issues there may be with the car. He then hung up.

So there I sat in immense misery until I mercifully woke up.

[Sorry about any errors that may have worked their way in, I'm too tired to proofread right now because this asshole of a dream woke me up early]

asshole of a dream

I never thought of calling a dream an asshole. I like it
