Set in the not too distant future where the miracle of modern science allowed you to visit (Billy and the Cloneasaurus) virtual recreations of the past, using some brain scanning or super computers or whatnot so the now famous people you meet give real responses that they might have actually given you (except that they view you as a friend or peer and not as some lowly groveler they tell to piss off).
Really cool premise for a dream. Infinite golden cool or weird potential. I did not take advantage.
I went to some like trade show for comedians in the late 90s. I met everyone. We then got separated into groups and I got grouped with Jay Leno, Conan O'brien and some B-listers. I proceeded to spend the next 30 or so minutes asking Conan about his time writing for the Simpsons to the groans of everyone else in the room, most notably Jay who seemed jealous he was getting ignored.
It wasn't the weirdest dream I've ever had, it was weirder when i woke up feeling like I had been asleep for 16 hours. I thought I should get up before it gets dark out. I rolled over and it wasn't 10am yet.
