There aren't many vendors for server hardware without bullshit contracts, Supermicro is the least bad vendor in many scenarios.

Why are they only doing something now?
Anyone remember the story about Supermicro motherboards, used in most servers, containing spy chips? It all suddenly went very quiet and was forgotten about.
I think this stuff is very interesting.
