I'm not sharp enough to know why the feds can prosecute "hate crimes" and not this, while they say that the states can outlaw fgm.

One step at a time. The US isn’t like other countries. Citizens will fight back and go on hunting raids.

Just takes a while to get them to that point. It took the Southern states almost 80 years to get mad enough to actually try to leave. I don't know if the current citizens are passionate enough to go to that far, but if it does get to that point it will be brutal and may actually be the end of the US.

They are. If you doubt me, just bring up this ruling to some of your friends and get their opinions. You’ll be surprised. Real life is a lot more common sense than the extremes you see on the internet and I think you’ll find that most people are willing to go that distance without talking about it.

It seems that the law was too broadly worded. The legislature needs to pass a more concise law.
