Many times people thought they could take water from the Mojave, they failed every time. Once in 1920's someone built a dam on the Mojave river for the mining industry, then we had The Solar Project. What this report fails to tell you is this masave water aquifers under Cadiz is there when it rains enough and it drys up quickly. Cadiz,ca is a dry lake bad 90 % of the year and we've been in a drought for a long time.

Interesting.

I really wonder though where this all ends. You can't keep 'finding' water for LA and Las Vegas indefinitely. Growth has outpaced the resources. But then how do you stop it, I guess.

California has billions of gallons un used water, build desalination plants. Growth has outpaced the resources, yes and open borders is the problem.

They say you can’t get water from a stone ...

I haven't heard that, but I do own whetstones.
