I applaud them for trying to make the justice system more equitable however I also feel like the complete elimination of bail limits judicial options. Without at least general guidance this be a mess. Also now it is completely up to the judge's perception whether you deserve to be held or not, there is no "you can go free but we're holding a big chunk of your money so you better show up to court". I would expect a rise in people not showing up to court for lower charges leading to more charges for not showing up.

Read this earlier today. Sounds like a cluster fuck waiting to happen. They pass a law that say's do it ... without the slightest guidance how to do it ... they'll figure that out in secret later.
