Agree. I wonder why they don't have life jackets regardless.
I'm sure they had them on the boat, probably under the seats. They absolutely should have been on. Perhaps some did and they got stuck inside the boat because of the awning.
Tia says the captain of the boat told them “don’t worry about grabbing the life jackets – you won’t need them,” so none of the family members grabbed them.
If that's true the captain should face charges.
This is criminal negligence on the captain's part. They never should have been out in the first place based on the forecast. Everyone should have had life jackets on at the first sign of the storm and once the boat started getting swamped, they should have abandoned ship to avoided being trapped.
