i admire the audacity from a business stand point but its a real asshole move to dump a new means of transport on a city without warning like these companies do. i've almost run over idiots and drunks on these things who have no idea how to properly and safely ride them. if they haven't hit your city yet, just you wait, they're coming.

I agree. These came totally out of nowhere and I've read many articles from many cities complaining about them. It's just another startup company that thought they could make a killing, but didn't put any thought into the legality of it all, choosing to thumb their noses at cities complaints.

oh, they'll make their money and that's the worst part. one company, lime, was just bought by lyft and the other will either sell and let a bigger company's lawyers smooth out the business model or take investments based off of lime's value and do it themselves.
