bullshit. my extremely annoying neighbors who run their landscaping business out of their house swear by hiring students. they know english and can take direction, they'll sometimes have their own truck they're willing to use, they often have trustworthy friends they can recommend to replace them, they are a practically infinite labor pool of legal, low wage employees.

It's seasonal work. Use high school and college kids like you did for decades prior to bringing in illegals.

I painted houses, I blacktopped driveways, I sealed parking lots, I mowed lawns, I trimmed trees, I cut wood. I even did a few weeks of "highway beautification" which is really "picking up trash along the side of the road."

Combined with your 20 hours at the fast food joint or whatever shitty "school year" job, and you had enough money to buy that shitty 74 Mustang II or 77 Granada, plus gas money, and to take your girl out when you wanted.
