A fairly well written English piece about "Sinterklaas en Zwarte Piet."

Funny thing "the whole race issue" isnt a thing in our former Carribean islands with mostly black population at all. While these islands are independent from the Netherlands, they celebrate the same tradition with festive arrival and parade with much popularity and joy. The coloured people actually use black paint to color their faces to be dark black.

Dutch article about it: https://www.volkskrant.nl/binnenland/in-willemstad-is-piet-vooral-donkerzwart-en-sint-wit-geschminkt~a4540050/

The Sun made it a whole fearmonger piece . Most funny twist are that it's not "a christmas thing" as we celebrate that seperatly and Santa is actually based on sinterklaas, hence the term "old Saint Nick"

The coloured people

I'd get fired from my job if I said that at work.

Also, your Santa has a cool hat
