I'm looking for a cheap kvm but what I found was this, in the questions someone said it's just a switch. No monitor.

Any recommendations on a hotkey KVM , one monitor, keyboard, mouse and 2 computers. One windows and the other linux.

You can't do an RDP style solution? I can RDP into my Rasberry Pi from windows just fine. No KVM needed.

Looks like it. It's an USB switch not a KVM switch, you might still use it in case you have a monitor with multiple inputs.

That would be a standard KVM switch. Make sure it has the right display sockets. The OS doesn't matter.
