Desalination is booming as cities run out of water

Fun fact, a lot of surfers have died because of that plant in Carlsbad. It releases warm wastewater into the ocean, and in the colder months surfers move close to the plant to surf and stay warm. Turns out there are a lot of very shallow hidden rocks in that area that claimed several lives.

In the meantime, the price of desalinated water has been coming down as the expertise evolves and the price of different sources will increase. Within the final three a long time, the price of desalination has dropped by greater than half.
