TL;DR -- Nvidia is finally supporting variable refresh rate (VRR) on Freesync monitors. They are testing and validating monitors and those will be automatically detected and enabled. For non-validated monitors there will be an option to enable VRR. The driver update will come on January 15th that will add this ability.

This SEEMS like good news. G-sync has been way to expensive for its own good. Why pay that much for a monitor when you can get a new card and not worry about tearing anyway?
