Some way needs to be found to properly thank Verizon for all they have done.

We could always bring back Net Neutrality regulations as a proper "thank you" to Verizon.

Doubtful. A full on boycott of Verizon and affiliates (Yahoo, AOL, etc.) might hit them in their bottom line.
