I only use open source encryption due to the ability to compromise closed source code. Open can be audited.
I sure as fuck would not trust some unknown Chinese business with my security. There's way too much incentive to break it.
The article didn't mention trust, but I guarantee that security researchers wold have considered this. So maybe there is a method to verify the integrity that was left out of the article.
