I have three chargers.... but lately it's been getting weird. I have a 2017 iMac too. Used to be, I'd plug my iphone into the white macintosh jack and it'd charge. than it was plug it into that one, and quickly plug it into the black macintosh cable. I'm currently resorting to turning the phone off, and then plugging it in... it's completely compatible I'm fighting some bug or starting to believe mac is sabotaging their own gear but this will be my last apple products trust me.
those were pretty damn hardy... like the cockroaches of the digital age... I'm sure there are some still around lol
edit: I agree... I have gotten used to fucking with my iphone to make it charge... it obviously recognized the cable it just doesn't want to. they fuck with them alright

I am convinced that Apple intentionally restrict the life of all of their products. There is not one single thing I've had from Apple that didn't screw up in some way after a short amount of time. Except the first ipod. Those things will work until 2080 at least.
