Whilst I agree, you can almost guarantee that device info is available to anyone who wants to look at it anyway. If the device is sending metadata back to the company, I would assume there is an account, and those accounts will have web portals anyone can log into.

The real question is "why do you need an internet connected sound system in the first place"? If you want to control it from a phone or tablet, it should go onto an isolated LAN-only WiFi range
