This is going to quickly move from preventing terrorism to preventing wrongthink.

When people search for sensitive keywords on YouTube, they will be redirected towards a playlist of curated YouTube videos

Yep, going to be nearly impossible to use Google or YouTube to search for YouTube videos that go against the narrative in the near future.

More archiving services will popup with their own search engines for the archived links.

I don't think there is an issue with them removing videos specifically because they are singling something out. If YouTube actually gets involved with the community in any way, shape or form it will be a first.

I find this more worrying.

Our machine learning systems are faster and more effective than ever before. Over 75 percent of the videos we've removed for violent extremism over the past month were taken down before receiving a single human flag.

This is going to lead to a shit ton of bad takedowns that will never be rectified because they're completely inept at restoring content.

Too bad they can't build some kind of automated system that can reverse that. If only they had some devs.

I'm now waiting for 'hatetube' to emerge, where all the now even-angrier censored people go to share their extremist content in an isolated circlejerk until one-by-one they are driven to murderous rampages :)

Or how about all the mental children who want Anita Sarkeesian and a bunch of moslems to dictate what they're allowed to hear and say and think go to a new site, let's call it Cucktube, and leave the real sites to adults
