A sub to post talks/lectures of intellectual merit. Civil roundtable discussions, academic lectures, and talks that express/expound upon ideas are welcome. Talks by people telling great stories are also welcome.
Rules:
If the talk is about a political topic there has to be an actual civil discussion going on (In other words this is not a sub talking heads just yelling about a hot button issue).
Talks about conspiracy theories are better posted elsewhere (There tends to be a very fine line between interesting theories that are potentially verifiable and complete and utter crap, we don't need a flame wars here).
No pseudoscience.
Keep discussion civil. Attacking an idea is encouraged, attacking a person is not.
It starts of being reasonably interesting, before one realizes that the jury is stacked. Too fragile to invite a 'Darwinist' to the table.
