That woman had a lot of time to either hobble away in any direction, or step through the door that was right there.
She did not deserve what happened to her, but she had no excuse to be in that position. She was putting others in danger and making the cops job much harder by being in the backstop. Everyone else got out of the way, if it was clear to them, it should have been for her also.
