I completely agree there. It just makes things predictable, like in some leagues in the other football where teams have won the title 6/7 years in a row. At least it makes it more satisfying when they do eventually get beat.

Dynasties are bad for any sport. Nobody wants to watch the Yankees win over and over except for Yankees fans. In the 90's and early 2000's nobody wanted to see the Red Wings win, except for Red Wings fans.
It's moments like this that I really appreciate the NHL's hard cap on player salaries. It has caused greater parity between teams and has helped grow the league, not just one team, but the entire league.
