USC 5 really is shit, they're only that high because of the name. Much as I love Texas, they're been shit, particularly on defense, since forever at this point. They really played their hearts out that game and were on the brink of winning. I watched almost all that game, I was waiting for the big comeback win from UT. Alas.
Penn State 4 is surprising. Who have they beat again? Oh yeah, 1-2 Akron, 1-2 Pitt, and 0-2 Georgia State, really top-tier competition there.
I guess most of the other people below them haven't really played people either. Only Michigan played anyone worth anything, Florida week 1. So maybe it's fine.
