Since I posted this, the run has been temporarily moved into a "glitched" category. Someone discovered that the crash animation when you hit a barn can trigger the barn being counted as "flown through". This can be done multiple times on the same barn, but is extremely difficult. The new TAS time is less than 15 seconds, which beats the old TAS record by about 17 seconds.
One interesting thing about this is it actually means Todd Rogers could have been telling the truth about his Barnstorming record. He claimed a 32.04, which was deemed impossible because the TAS record was slower. Even a hacked version of the game with all of the obstacles removed could only produce a time of 32.50. The verification for Todd's score was a Twin Galaxies referee, no video or even image of the game timer exists. The referee said something to the effect of "it's so simple when you see how he does it".
However, if this glitch was used then it would have almost definitely resulted in a time faster than 32.04. Twin Galaxies also did not allow glitches, which this would be classed as, so his score would not have been added to their leaderboards if this was the method he used.
