Apples to oranges.

News vs Social Media, sure apples to oranges. But website banned from pretty much every tech, advertising and banking platform being visited more than MSM platforms is significant. Many people use social media as sole sources of news, so it is fairly related in a way.

Not disagreeing with you. I've had boomer uncles say "I solely get my news from twitter now" in those uncomfortable "to all family" emails. I'm assuming many of them have gone to gab, poal or other sites

Gab is a silo.

Eat shit, 50,000,000 flies can't be wrong.

At least it works, unlike billionaire-funded Parler.

If twitter, facebook and google haven't been so gung ho on removing wrong think, gab would have never survived. It's nowhere near the silo that Voat was though. It used to be fairly similar to old voat, but Conservative Inc., Christians and boomers had moved in and carved out a huge chunk away from what it used to be...which gets boring fast. 9 months ago I actually would be in the top 10 daily posts on the popular page with some gardening posts with a few hundred likes. Now you have multiple freshmen congresswomen with 20k likes on top every day.

Super lame
