This is indeed promising, except they don't know how to turn off the gene expression. I really can't imagine the disastrous results of nerve cells gone mad...seizures, cancers- whatever else that could go wrong.
Too, it seems they focused on hand control and I didn't see much regarding actual walking and recovery of lower extremities.
