We were surprised to find that about 50 per cent of the time that CTG is translated as serine, the remainder of the time it is leucine.

That's pretty crazy, this is a fascinating process that if understood could lead to all kinds of new gene therapies (imagine being able to switch from encoding damaged DNA that causes a cancer to a healthy DNA with the right catalyst). Cool stuff
