For the past few days I have been trying to stop him from killing birds. Tons of them appeared suddenly and now he has started chasing baby birds all over the garden. Today he finally managed to catch one before I could stop him, and I decided to just let him have it because he had already fucked it up to the point where it had no chance to survive if I saved it.

It turns out I should have saved it. It took about 20 mins for it to die, and he is still playing with it now. He has invented the art of Bird Discus. He is crouching down with it in his mouth, spinning and then releasing it whilst jumping at the end of his spin for maximum distance. His audience is myself and a pack of pissed off birds that are sat squawking on the top of my garden fence. So far his best distance is probably 3 and a half metres, quite impressive for a small pupper. I hope they introduce this event at Crufts, because I think he could be a champion.

I had a dog that did this with moles. When they stopped running away, he'd eat them.
